Real Mirror ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Camera & Face Data

Real Mirror uses your device camera to capture a still photo of your face when you tap "AI Face Scan." Before this happens, the app displays a clear disclosure and requires your explicit consent.

What is collected: A single still photo of your face, captured at the moment you initiate a scan.
How it is used: The photo is sent to Google Gemini AI solely to generate a one-time cosmetic facial analysis (e.g., skin tone, symmetry, feature proportions). It is never used for identity verification, advertising, or any other purpose.
Who it is shared with: The photo is transmitted to Google's Gemini API via our Cloudflare proxy server. No other third parties receive the image.
How long it is retained: The photo is not stored on any server. It exists only in memory for the duration of the API call (typically 2–5 seconds) and is permanently discarded immediately after the AI response is returned.
No biometric data: We do not extract, store, or use facial geometry, landmarks, or biometric identifiers of any kind.

1. Information We Collect

Camera & Face Images: When you use the AI Face Scan feature, your device camera captures a photo. This image is sent securely to Google Gemini AI via an encrypted Cloudflare proxy server solely to generate cosmetic analysis results. The image is not stored on our servers and is discarded immediately after analysis. You will be asked for your explicit consent before your first scan.

Usage Data: We store a daily scan count and workout usage flag locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.

Purchase Information: Subscription and purchase data is handled by RevenueCat and Apple. We do not store your payment details.

To provide AI-powered face analysis (skin, brow, and face fitness insights)
To enforce free-tier scan and workout limits
To manage your subscription status via RevenueCat

3. Third-Party Services

Google Gemini AI – processes face images to generate analysis. Images are not retained by Google beyond the API request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Workers – acts as a secure proxy between the app and the AI service. No image data is logged or stored.
RevenueCat – manages in-app subscriptions. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store – handles payment processing for subscriptions and one-time purchases.

4. Data Retention

Face images are processed in real time and immediately discarded — we do not store, sell, or share your facial data. Scan history saved locally on your device remains on your device only and can be cleared by deleting the app.

5. Children's Privacy

Real Mirror is intended for users aged 9 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no account data to request or delete. To remove all locally stored data, simply delete the app from your device.

7. Security

All data transmitted between the app and our proxy server is encrypted via HTTPS. We do not log or retain face images at any point in this process.

8. Medical Disclaimer

Real Mirror is for cosmetic guidance only and does not provide medical advice. All results are AI-generated estimates. Do not use this app to diagnose or treat any medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for any health concerns.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
